Landlords in Washington tend to own family houses: three bedroom semis and townhouses on the district estates, let to working families who want to be near the A1, the A19 and the Galleries. Tenancies tend to be long, which suits a hands-off landlord and suits us.
For investors, Washington’s mix of estate housing and older village terraces means there are still properties that come up below market value, often needing the kind of refurbishment we budget and manage every week. We assess each one on purchase price, refurb cost, end value and rent before you see it.
Management is 10% of monthly rent with no hidden charges. Lettings is one month’s rent including VAT, with the first month’s management free if you use both. Periodic inspections, maintenance through contractors who do not overcharge, rent collected and arrears handled properly.
